"We loved the location as it was close to my husbands parents and plenty of shops and restaurants are close by. The space was great, as was having a washing machine and dryer as we were on a 3- stop holiday. We would suggest perhaps fitting darker curtains or blinds on the windows at the front of the property as the location is quite light even late in the evening. Otherwise lots of great facilities. Thank you!"

"We enjoyed our stay, the location was close walking distance to the shops and restaurants on Cuba St. The unit was a little tired and not terribly clean. The heat pump control did not work and the property managers said they would get to it after our stay ended. Fortunately there were electric heaters to keep the place warm. The place was ok, but lacked warmth (literally and figuratively). We would not stay here again."

"It was good to be able to have a parking place in the middle of the city. And the price was good. The owner did contact us and show us how to navigate the parking. The location is very convenient. Managing the walking route through the hotel does take a little bit of figuring out. That is just Wellington and nothing to do with the property. There were instructions. There is a convenience store nearby for essentials. We would stay there again with no problem."

"Delighted with the location, was with my sister and the two very comfortable bedrooms were perfect for our 4 day stay. Very nicely furnished with lots of cupboards and seating. "We loved our stay with Jan and Phil who seem to have thought about everything their guests would need and they made us feel very welcome! To us it felt like a 'home away from home'. Our only regret is that we were not able to stay in Wellington longer. There was plenty to do, including some amazing walks. We would certainly seek out this property again on subsequent visits and will happily recommend it to others."

"You cannot better the location!!! We went swimming every morning and walked all the local walks. Great food shopping close by and the best coffee outlet (Havana) only a few doors away. Humble digs but absolutely everything you would need for a few days exploring Wellington. Thank you Dave for letting us stay with you."

"The room was nice and tidy but a bit cold I followed instructions on the conditioner but it only pushed cold air out despite of 20 temperatures on the display Couldn't work out the heater, left it on random settings, and it was too hot. No instructions for that heater to be found! Overall - a good experience, could've been better if I arrived not so late at night and could ask for help :)"

Lovely stay
"Large comfy quiet rooms. Luxurious bathroom and amenities. Professional service by hotel staff. Location is excellent; there was a Woolsworth store at the next block. Many dining options on the ground floor. Wellington tram station was just around the corner. Easy access to the harbour and an enjoyable walk to Te Papa and the other museums. This hotel does not have its own porch but there are two carpark lots on the dead-end road leading up to the hotel entrance that are reserved for hotel guests pickup/dropoffs. "
