"Not many options in this part of Iceland, but the Hotel Flokalundur was a pleasant surprise with clean, comfortable rooms and a welcoming restaurant."

"Very comfortable stay in a clean and spacious room. Check-in was self serve, but everything I needed was communicated to me and there were no issues. Ample breakfast supplies were available each morning."

"We had a pleasant stay. Although the room was small, it was well maintained and very clean. The bed and comforter were comfortable, and the towels were plush and of good quality. The staff were warm and welcoming. The only drawback was that the shower pressure was somewhat low, and the water did not get sufficiently hot for my preference."

"I woke up to a flat tire. Having a hard time with the rental company about getting it replaced the owner called up a friend next thing I know someone was coming up to fix my flat tire for me. It really made my day. I didn’t have to argue with rental car companies and they could take care of it for me. It was very nice and appreciated."

"Really lovely place to be. The interiors are rustic, and feel like I'm staying at a someone's house. Not a bad thing at all though! We also enjoyed being greeted by a friendly cat (the cat was the star of the show). I would LOVE to come back and stay again. The area is beautiful and this would be a lovely place to use as a base to explore from."
