It was very easy (with Google Maps' help) to access and enjoy several National historic sites. This was a great central location to find nature and history in any direction! The cottage itself was perfect, too. My only wish was traveling when it would be a bit warmer to enjoy the backyard!
This is a very comfortable flat, with a great location for exploring the area. Very easy access to the walking trail, which is perfect for runs or coastal walks. We greatly enjoyed our stay!
Location was perfect. House was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Provided the space our small family required. A very pleasant and memorable stay. We would love to visit again.
Good communication with Suzanne. House was well equipped and comfortable. Location was perfect for us … close to the cycle path into Weymouth and over to Portland.
The Cottage was everything that we expected. It was clean, well supplied, quiet and close to walking paths and public transportation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Lovely clean, comfortable cottage with everything you need. Was quiet during our stay, with friendly neighbours. View of sea from bedroom and walking distance to Chesil Beach, but also close to Weymouth Beach. Perfect base to explore other areas such as Bridport, West Bay and Lyme Regis.
The property is very thoughtfully appointed with all mod cons.
The location is perfect for visiting Dorchester, Maiden Castle, Lyme Regis, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door and of course Chesil Beach is right on the doorstep.
A lovely stay - thanks to Suzanne for her great communication
We spent a week at Anchor Cottage and enjoyed it very much. The house is well-equipped and very comfortable. It‘s easy to feel at home quickly. It‘s a very good location to visit Weymouth, Chesil Beach and Portland. We also went to Durdle Door and visited Abbotsbury Swannery and Tropical Gardens.
Suzanne has great communication and is very accommodating. Nice clean place. Bike storage in shed was perfect for us cycling to WPNSA for the week of the ILCA Nationals.
A very clean house in a beautiful area.. We had everything we needed in the house and had a very warm welcome. Comfortable beds and nice furniture. Nice garden and it was so quiet to stay there. A stunning view from the house to the bay and Portland. We can absolutely recommend Anchor Cottage.
Lovely cottage clean and welcoming. Everything you need like home from home. Well placed for visiting different places. Great view of the coastline. Great if your a walker or cylist have the Rodwell Trail on your doorstep.
Nice, very quiet end of terrace home in a lovely location. We enjoyed the Portland / Wyke experience and the friendly locals. Recommend The Cove for a very tasty meal and pint, and Flavours of Asia for Indian takeaway. Both really excellent. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Would recommend for a couple or a small family
Tucked away just off the Rodwell Trail means that you can easily walk into Weymouth or Portland whilst enjoying some lovely views.
Then you get to come back to this lovely home to relax in. It provided everything that we were looking for, clean with comfortable beds and sofa.
Communication from Suzanne was very good, ensuring that we had all of the information that we needed.
