"Fabulous location with friendly hosts. We stayed here with my limited-mobility mother and four teens, and it was the best weekend getaway we’ve had for ages. Loved the house, the location, the setting, and the welcoming environment. The downstairs bedrooms (a couple of steps up from the driveway), showers with only a low step, and a downstairs living area meant my mum, who walks with a stick, didn’t have to struggle with full flights of stairs. The kids entertained themselves, leaving the adults...

"Lovely warm home, great quality linens etc. The home is a wee bit tired but beautifully presented. The view down to the water across to the ranges is amazing. We sat there in the afternoons into the evening marvelling at the change of colours and light. Well set up. Even has a coffee plunger (that gets a gold star as we do love our plunger coffee). Thank you to the hosts."

The location was amazing, as you could be walking along the Maitai, wandering the Queen’s Gardens or brunching downtown in a matter of minutes. "We started here with extended family and had heaps of space. Amazing view from the balcony over Nelson harbour. Great kitchen, BBQ and lovely wide deck to sit outside on a summer evening. It's a steep walk up from central Nelson but worth it when you get to the top! We used the spa pool a lot and appreciated the regular services. The house is newly renovated, light, airy and well maintained, would recommend as a great place to stay."

"This property was a solid 3.5-4 out of 5. Great location in Havelock - walking distance to the pubs and local shops. Easy parking, on street and one in the driveway. Fireplace with loads of wood, comfortable beds and lots of extra blankets, nice big living room, dining table etc. Would be great for a family or group of friends. The downsides were that the towels are quite old and very small, and there is limited crockery and cutlery in the kitchen, and only 3 wine glasses, which seemed strange...

"Nelson is a wonderful community, and this property is ideally located -- close to downtown, grocery stores, and nearby hiking. Shared bike/ped paths were also nearby for quick access. The unit has a couple of bicycles, and we used these as our primary in-town transportation. The kitchen is well equipped with a good complement of appliances. The garden is a quiet haven with lots of flowers, herbs, and fruit trees. This place is a great find!"

"Incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully prepared holiday home. Amazing sunrises. Warm afternoons on the outdoor couch. Comfy beds, underfloor heating in the bathrooms. Cosy and fabulous!"

"The property was very comfortable and generally met our needs. The shower was a little cramped and shower head kept flipping down. We weren't able to tighten the fitting. The narrow drive and tight turning circle into carport necessitated backing in or out for larger vehicle."

"Nelson City Centre on the River is a splendid bach accommodation. There's lots of room for a large family or two families on holiday together. The bach is very comfortable, with all the amenities one would want to have in a holiday home. And the location is fabulous. The river walk is just outside the front door, and the city centre is a short walk away. We highly recommend this accommodation."

"Peak View The gracious host met us at the bridge and lead us 2-miles uphill, curving back and forth through forests and fields, and finally to the mountain top and Peak View home. Wow! As you open the front door the considered design of the spaces and furnishings is apparent and the 180° views will steal your heart. You’ll see the Tasman Bay, the adjacent nature reserve, the Abel Tasman Park in the distance, and the 200 private wooded acres that surround the home. Outside, a sweeping wrap-around...
