Family get together

We love staying at the dunes and always try to book when we visit family who resiide in Whanganui. The grojnds are lovely and gbe veiw is outstanding. The property has everything you need.

Great spot by the beach. Awesome views and the spa was a nice bonus. Reasonably close to town so a good base for us visiting Whanganui

Relaxing stay with 5* views

My husband and I stayed for three weeks over the holidays and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We cooked at the house most of the time and the kitchen was well equipped. The deck and views are amazing. We highly recommend.

Great place in excellent location - shame spa didn’t work for first night but worked it out for second. Would love the double bed in the front room so could wake up to sea but these are just quibbles - we enjoyed it. Would book again.

Beautiful View of the Sea!

We loved our time at the Dunes in Castlecliff, the house was spacious, warm and comfortable. We loved the beautiful sea views and it was lovely to enjoy a spa on the deck after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend.

Stunning Beach Views

We absolutely loved staying here. The view to the beach and beyond is stunning. The sunsets from the deck were a delight. The hottub on the deck was awesome and a proper luxury, though we felt the water hadn't been changed in a while. But otherwise the stay was amazing, so quiet, a beautiful area and extremely relaxing.

Lovely views

Three guests (a couple plus one) enjoyed the fantastic views from the deck, the wonderful spa pool, and having a cozy place to read and puzzle over a stormy couple days. The beds are super comfortable! Some minor repairs needed around the house, but all in all, very functional and suited our needs. Communication with the owner was easy when a change to the reservation was needed.

The Dunes

Toilet lights didn't work, the bbq didn't work very well & the oven tray was dirty. However the spa was lovely & we really enjoyed the beautiful views. The beds were super comfortable & the shower was great.
