"We were a party of 7 using 4 rooms. The hotel was able to put us all together on the same floor. The rooms are very nice nice with comfortable beds and a luxurious bathroom. Gathering areas were important to us and there are several places for our large party to gather. We appreciated the free parking, although the parking garage was pretty full when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. The location is excellent, within walking distance of several casinos. We ended up eating breakfast at Bally's every day for $4.99 (with players card) and had the $7.99 prime rib dinner once. This is the third time staying at the Ameristar, and we will book there again next year."

"$8 for parking in a lot that’s still under construction seems excessive. A $75 deposit on an $89 hotel room also feels pretty steep. It seems like if a little less money was spent on cameras and a little more was invested in guest services and the overall guest experience, things might work out a lot better."
