I have stayed at this hotel several times. However, this time it was under major construction and no one mentioned anything including Expedia. Parking is always a challenge and their Lost and Found should just be called lost. Likely will look for alternatives next year.

The location is great the the hotel is cute. We stayed in the jetted tub suite. The suite itself was very nice. The kitchen was decently stocked with most of what you'd need to cook stovetop meals. It would have been nice to have a second frying pan, and maybe a salad spinner, but overall no complaints. The view is terrific of the ocean, and the area as I said before is excellent. The bedroom with the tub was very nice and the tub was great. There were a few defects in the suite. 1. Chromecast on living room TV didn't work 2. A single power outlet in the bedroom was broken 3. Livingroom fireplace didn't work, but the bedroom one did. 4. Livingroom lamp didn't light Now for the worse part. THE TRAINS! The hotel is about 100 feet from the train tracks that run along the waterline. The trains run all day and all night every couple of hours. They can take as long as 5 minutes to go by and everytime one comes the gate alarm for the train goes off (it's very loud) and the noise of the trains is also very loud. If you are a light sleeper this will cause you grief. If it wasn't for the trains I'd give it a 4.5/5 as staff is nice, room was great despite minor problems, and location is too die for. Also keep in mind we the taxes included parking is almost $30 a day. Something to factor into the budget. Would we stay there again? Maybe.. the only thing that would give me hesitation would be the trains.

Checked-in to this hotel, when booking the photos showed ocean view but was told that the room is in back with garden view. I was given the option to upgrade to ocean view room but I declined. I went in the room and noticed the room was very small, I had to use the toilet and within 10 mins I called and asked to get an upgrade because there was a concrete sidewalk right outside the room and when people roll their suitcase it makes a loud noise like a train going by. Staff member came into the room to inspect and said someone used the toilet and that they can’t upgrade the room for us with additional fee of course. I was woken up just after 7am with the noise of suitcases rolling on concrete as people are starting to check out I believe. This was going on random times from 7 to 11 am and I could not get my sleep in as I had late checkout requested previously. Room was clean but there was construction going on in the building hallways going from elevator to our room. I don’t remember my room# but it’s out to the back of building through the main building. I don’t recommend this room because of the noise unless you’re checking out super early.

Our room was dirty. My wife found an old fake nail beside the bed and the lights in the bathroom were taken from a horror movie the way they flickered on and off. When I showed the front desk the picture of the old nail the last basically laughed it off and said "Sir you got a very good deal on this room". Not the point... I've stayed at better properties for less and the staff were actually accountable.

They were doing renovations which was annoying to deal with, but it will likely be worth it in the end. I didn't enjoy not being able to use the stairs at all, which made the elevator wait times extra long sometimes.

We booked a 1 bedroom king suite, with ocean view and jetted tub. The room did not disappoint - it was huge, very clean and the views could not have been better, Although the weather didn't co-operate, the large balcony was well equipped and would have been a very enjoyable place to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
