"This is our go-to place when going to Ocean isle. This summer was our third time here, we went for the 4th of July and the place was very quiet, clean and just a short drive from the beach. Not sure if they've changed management, but the carpet was uneven, like pulled from the floor, I tripped on it a few times so not sure what was going on there. The staff was not as friendly as years ago and they had humidifiers all over the hallways. Ice machine worked well and I saw a few folks enjoying the gym. Check in took longer than usual eventhough my rooms were already paid- I want to assume the lady at the front desk was new. Overall this is a very decent hotel, cant beat the price for just a couple of nights in town."

"Clean room and bathroom. Check in was quick and easy. Checkout took way longer than expected since the front desk guy was on the phone. He didn’t even acknowledge us while he continued talking to whoever he was on the phone with. Fine, I figured it was another customer. I reminded him about the breakfast vouchers, which he provided. We then went across the room into the onsite Denny’s for breakfast. Extremely rude staff in there. No one acknowledged us for a good 5 mins while we waited at the front podium. When the hostess finally came over (after she was done cleaning tables off and cleaning the floor- mind you facing us) she gave us menus and took us to a booth. We sat at the booth for about 10-15 mins while no one came to even say hi or get drinks ordered. I looked around the room and saw this was the same situation for all the tables around us. It’s fine if they were busy, but the restaurant had more waitress available than open tables. We left without ordering. Gave front desk back the vouchers and left. Not a bad hotel at all. Room was nice and clean. They just need to work on the outside lighting and the staff needs to be more helpful."

Coastal Comfort Hotel

"As expected for the price. Check-in host was great. Room had used tissues in the tissue box, seal-broken and used hand lotion, a used Zicam on the nightstand, a broken Roku remote, no blanket, just a thin topper, and the neighbors were thumping their music so loud at 12am that we had the call the desk. Clerk was very nice and had the music stopped quickly. They do offer some staples for breakfast, but I wouldn't count on it being fulfilling. GREAT Mexican restaurant down the road, next to a Dollar General. Highly recommend dinner there."
