"I had read so many bad reviews about the hotel I was a bit nervous about what we would turn up to! The lady on reception was so lovely and welcoming. We had a big room with a lovely sea view so I was happy, the room yes was old and outdated but it didn’t smell and it was clean! Bathroom was great with a bath and shower and the water was nice and hot. The room was very hot though had to open all the windows and this meant we could totally hear the nightclub over the road and everyone outside so we didn’t get much sleep due to that but it’s not the hotels fault. The actual hotel noise was quiet. For the price we paid I was happy and it was staying in that room again I’d definitely stay again but maybe not on a weekend night when the nightclub was open 😂 "

"Lovely located 1930s house within easy walk of the fabulous beach. Comfortable bed in huge bay windowed upstairs room.Downstairs front bay windowed bedroom would make a lovely second reception/living room as back room is quite small with dining table in there along with L-shaped sofa and TV etc.There was a lot of personal food and toiletries left in the house, which was unusual, made it feel like you were staying in someone’s home rather than a rental.Hosts (Nick & Rodica) were lovely and accommodating and extended our last day until 1pm, which meant we had a nice relaxing morning on our last day. "Nicely done out. A couple of issues in terms of equipment - only one mug so we had to go out and buy one the following day. Also no potato peeler, cafetière (coffee machine needed capsules which are more expensive to buy). The outdoor area could have been made more attractive. The alley at the back was full of rubbish. We did receive quick feedback to our concerns about the mug and the lockpad being left on the code. "

"Great venue to meet up with family. Excellent location overlooking the beach/sea within easy walking distance of a couple of good restaurants. This was a return visit which we thoroughly enjoyed. Whitley Bay sea front promenade however is undergoing a transformative update causing disruption to traffic in the immediate area including directly outside the property. This did not affect our visit apart from having to navigate the new one way traffic system on our arrival. "

"Perfect getaway with a little sauna for a relax, sea is at the end of the road, tidy and plenty of space. Love the little touches around the place, everything was thought off, we will definitely be back!"
