Great service, location, care for guests, phenomenal food. One of the best dinners I have ever had,. And the co-owner carried boih of our heavy bags up the steep stairs for us.

Located in a beautiful area all around green fields. We really enjoyed our stay there. Breakfast and servie was good.

Really enjoyed our stay at this modernized Victorian boutique hotel. Staff and owners were a major factor in making the stay so memorable. The updated property is immaculate, and has an excellent location in Keswick. Highly recommended as long as you don’t mind climbing stairs.

Wonderful bed and breakfast to stay during weekend getaways. I was a tourist from the USA and the property owners were polite, attentive and courteous. The room was spacious with windows overlooking the lake. I would highly recommend this location for you future stays at the Lake District!

Melrose Guest house is a beautiful place to stay in the Ambelside, Lakes National Park, and Windemere area. It is conveniently located in town by restaurants, ships, and trails. The room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing every day of our stay. This is the place to stay in Ambelside!

My wife and I had a great stay at this property for a 4-day visit to the Lake District and could not have been happier. It's located on a quiet street of homes and guest houses, but is a short walk to the center of Keswick as well as my new favorite movie theater, the Alhambra Cinema, and our now-beloved local, the Dog & Gun Pub. This was the best stay on our two-week trip. The room was the biggest, and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. And our host, Mick, was wonderful to talk to. Plus, we got to participate in Quiz Night! I was surprised to enter a B&B through the bar, but once I figured it out, that was fine, too. A most enjoyable evening and a great stay.
