"The hotel is very conveniently located and perfectly clean. The room I had unfortunately overlooked Newtownsmith Rd, which made it very noisy because of the bar across the road. Since the weather was warm, it was a battle between getting fresh air with the windows open and hearing the rowdy bar noise, or muffled noise and no air. "These rooms are university dorms, I believe, but if you’re popping into Galway for a day or two during the summer, they’re comfortable and well kept. Staff are friendly and attentive. Parking may be an issue if you’re driving but there’s a free lot that’s maybe a five minute walk from the hotel you can use. "This is a classic old inn with lots of character, right in the center of the old town. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is a very good full breakfast with lots of options. Only one suggestion: the coffee at breakfast is just powdered Nescafe, which is pretty bad. The owners would do well do invest in a real coffee machine. But maybe they don't much call for coffee and people moistly drink tea. "

"Outstanding service made this five stars for us. We had two rooms and six people, two of which were young children, and the staff made every aspect of our stay hassle free. We ultimately loved it so much we decided to extend the stay an extra day. Once again, this was done without any hassle whatsoever. I wanted to particularly call out Ryan for his friendliness and helpfulness. Both our kids got sick on the trip and Ryan was so helpful and gracious in helping us navigate that. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely return. "
