"Castlehacket House is an amazing place in a very lovely, but remote location. We were very well taken care of in a beautiful room with a lovely breakfast the next day. The hosts took care of all the guests at breakfast with a very personable service and it is somewhere I would not hesitate to return too."

"All was good except the room size. We had a Deluxe Double room which is so small that there wasn't any reasonable space for our two carry-on suitcases - the only suitcases we had. We had to put one under the small desk and one in the corner of the bed and window. With the suitcase being closed, it partially blocked the already narrow path to the other side of the bed. It was quite an inconvenience. To be fair, the hotel's listing provides information of the room size. But it still surprised me...

"This was a quick one night stop on our Ireland road trip. Parking availability was challenging. The property was clean and dinner in the restaurant was good. However the hotel is very dated and the rooms are very basic. The only coffee available in the room was instant. Expected more for the price paid, although it was on the bank holiday, so perhaps that had impact but a coffee maker in rooms would be an improvement"

"Hotel was very nice overall. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The restaurant / bar area was very nice, although the food itself was average at best. The staff was as helpful as possible. At night the girl serving as hostess was also the one who checked us in. Although the hotel wasn't in the heart of the main shopping, restaurant and pub area it was a quick taxi ride to get there. Parking on site was very convenient."

"So convenient for returning my rental car at Shannon Airport and then just walk across the street to catch my flight the next morning. The restaurant was convenient too. Nothing fancy, but clean, comfortable and close to air transport. The staff was fantastic, so helpful! My traveling companion had a flight canceled at the last minute, with no notice or assistance from Aer Lingus to make her connection in Paris for a flight to Bogota later that afternoon, so a hotel manager, Ashley (sp.?)...
