This is a unique and outstanding place to stay. It has a beautiful private beach and is an amazing building with spacious comfortable accommodation. The staff are very friendly and helpful. One of the best places we have stayed at.

The service was amazing; food was spectacular - the chef was able to provide wonderful vegetarian options even though I hadn't told them in advance that I would require this. The place is beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous and it was overall an amazing experience!

This is a hotel we first went to 55 years ago. It remains rustic but is in very good order and gives you a wild coast experience without useless frills, preserving the very real touch with the South African beach experience outside the high rises and fancy hotels and eateries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Côte d’Azur. We were welcomed warmly and especially enjoyed Siswe, the gentleman at reception. The apartment was so beautiful and clean and had everything we could have needed. Keep in mind that in South Africa, there are no electrical plugs in bathrooms

We had a very pleasant experience at Costa Smeralda. The check in was painless as the keys were left in the safe for us to collect due to us arriving on a Sunday. The room was clean and although the sliding door was damaged on arrival this was repaired on the same day without us having even made a complaint. Great staff, great property, truly refreshing. The property is underrated, from the rooms with outside showers, amenities and the game roaming around the property and lastly the trail within the property offers a great opportunity to walk or run for relaxation and reflection, we were pleasantly surprised by all of this. The only bad thing we noticed was the odour in the room at times, it smelled like blocked drain or sewage.
