"Fabulous design hotel with great bar, restaurant and terrace. The rooms are dark and dramatic with all modern amenities, the air conditioning could be fiercer but outside was 32 degrees so not too bad. Great shower pressure. The chef has amazing talent with lots of adventurous dishes. The restaurant staff seemed stressed. Breakfast was excellent too. Free access to the local outdoor pool was a nice touch."
"Nice hotel. Dinner surprisingly tasty for a small hotel but beware it was meant to be cash only which we didn't know so the owner kindly added it to our hotel bill. Rooms nice and comfortable although kids had to sleep in a sofa converted bunk bed. Proprietor is very nice. Parking is ample. "
"Unfortunately our prepaid reservation from several months ago was not known the to staff working the reception. Our party had hiked to the this location (all day hike) and was turned away. The hotel did find another available accommodation with a different property in another town and drove our party there - however would have to pay all over again, and none of the amenities important to us. The staff was not friendly and also could not communicate with Expedia. They ended up ensuring some kind...
"We had an amazing overnight stay. The team of people working there are superb, everyone we met was great. Our beautifully designed room with a very comfortable bed. Very tasty breakfast was filling and fresh and a good selection. Overall the hotel has a great atmosphere - it’s a boutique hotel with great attention to detail and very chilled and relaxed. "

"Friendly staff, also layed out the table for a birthday surprise, didnt ask them to just came down for breakfast to it, only thing that i would change would be the pillows as they are very soft and had to fold them to get some support."
"Lovely house with plenty of space and well positioned. Great for teenagers / young adults as there was lots of room to spread out and a good Internet connection. The house is very interesting with lots of unique features including balconies and roof terraces. We enjoyed trips to Europa Park, Freiburg, Strasbourg and a ruined castle.The only issue is that the car parking spaces are narrow, and it can be a little difficult to access especially if (like us) you have a big car.Overall though it was a great stay and I would recommend this property."

"Loud people living upstairs. Banging around all hours of the night. Not clean. The ad said there was laundry and that was my #1 search requirement as it was mid trip for us. Saw pics with a laundry in the kitchen. No laundry machine was there just an Empty space. Host said there’s no laundry in town so we all had to hand wash. It was a pain. One couch and nowhere else to sit and visit. Front door lock didn’t work very well. Always felt like I was going to be locked out.
Great location just a block from the towns gate. But not worth it. Vrbo should consider delisting unless improvements are made. "

"My husband and I, our daughter and grandchildren spent part of a weekend here. The accommodations were perfect for our needs right down to the games and puzzles for the children! The highlight of this stay though was our host. They were extremely accommodating and very communicative. It made everything go very smoothly for us and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. More so than we actually thought, also due to the beautiful little town of Gengenbach! We were able to walk into town on three separate occasions grab a coffee and meander through the streets and shops. They had a Christmas market while we were there which has turned out so far in seven we have visited in our time in Germany, to be my favorite. Please don’t hesitate to stay here and ask any questions that you have. The owners are extremely responsive. Thank you for a wonderful weekend and should we find ourselves in Germany again we would love to come back! "
