"Highly recommend! We were in a second floor room with a beautiful view of the River. While out around town, my wife fell and broke her ankle. I called from the emergency room in Taos and explained that I didn't think there was any way she could navigate the steps and it was our last night there. The young lady on duty informed me that they didn't have any ground level rooms available, but she called the owner and they moved us to a ground level suite at a sister hotel in town, no charge! Now THAT'S customer service!"

"Let me start off by saying the owners were great. They are in the process of remodeling other than being able to tell the difference between old and new you would never have known it. It was quiet. They did not have any building materials laying around or trash. When we pulled up they both greeted us and let us know that they were there and available if we needed anything. Upon entering the room that they had us down for I realized it was not the room that Expedia showed on their website. When we showed the owners the picture they said they had had that happen before that Expedia has the wrong picture with the wrong listing if you book through Expedia verify with the owners what room you are getting. They gave us the room that we thought we were getting luckily no one had booked it so everything turned out great We were traveling with a young grandson and booked the family suite we thought with two bedrooms and a Jack and Jill bathroom however that’s not what we had when we got there. I highly recommend the family Suite No. 12 it has been remodeled. It’s beautiful spacious and has everything you need for a short or long period of stay. It sits just a little way out of town, which we liked.. maybe a minute away. We enjoyed our stay very much but won’t book thru Expedia again. Oh yes, and Expedia had the wrong checkout time than what the owner had on their description in Expedia we had to verify which was correct and Expedia was wrong. 😡"

"This was our first experience being totally off grid so we weren’t sure what to expect. There is everything you need. Full kitchen for food prep and storage (no microwave and it did take some trial and error making French press coffee), plenty of hot water for cleanup and showers, very comfortable and quiet inside. We didn’t mess with heating or cooling and it was a little cool inside, but we like it that way. The setting is beautiful with a remote feel to it yet very convenient for touring the area. The hosts were very responsive to all our questions. A stop at the visitor center is well worth it to understand what this community and its structures are all about."
