Sycuan Casino Resort

8/10 Good
"The young lady who checked us in, could have been a little friendlier. I won't mention her name bc she was very subtle with it and not overtly rude. She did tell us we could check out at noon for free, and it would be $20 per hour after that for late check out, if we let them know ahead of time. My friend did let her know about an hour prior to checkout (same person the next day), but she refused us and didn't allow it. The room was very nice & clean, a little on the small side but it had a lovely room w a mountain view and an exceptionally comfortable bed. It was a very nice room for the price. Much worse than the slight hint of negativity from the young lady who checked us in, and not allowing the checkout at 1pm for $20 that she had mentioned: when I went down to the casino w/o my male friend, there was a young, slender male worker in a suit who was bringing out an electric scooter to someone. He seemed like he was trying to head straight for me, so I moved way out of his way, after just catching him in the corner of my eye at quite a distance: but he still (for some unknown reason), adjusted his trajectory and sped straight towards me (must have been driving it as fast as it could go), and barely missed clipping me. It was rude, intentional & totally unnecessary. Otherwise, the casino itself is pretty nice, well decorated and enjoyable. Bring your swimsuit though: they wanted $60 per piece on the 2 pc swimsuits they sell in the gift shop."

"I thought the staff were helpful & friendly. We thought the breakfast was good quality and very reasonable. We enjoyed the outdoor pool. We did not gamble much as we found the non-smoking section to be smaller and some of the slot machines to be confusing. While not trying to date ourselves, we miss the old old machines and roulette tables with less lights and whistles. The outlet mall while well kept and pleasant does not have many stores as it did pre-covid. It was a lovely venue for 2-3 day visit and would consider returning. Thank you."

10/10 Excellent
"This was a cool little spot but not being from California when it said resort I was expecting something bigger and away from everything. It is in the middle of a neighborhood and by a mountain. Other than that it was fun. Different pools to choose from to go swimming. The free bike rental my son really loved. Kept the boys busy while being at the hotel. We did stay when that fire was like 1.5 miles away However, the hotel stayed in constant communication, but Google maps didnt. It sent us thru the mountain to get out, real 4x4 action. No fault of the resort. Other than that we had a great time. Room was very spacious. And was able to cook on the stove to save money and the restaurant down the way was a good spot as well to grab food real quick."

"The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms are air conditioned. Wonderful place to relax. Nearby stores, shops and restaurants in walking distance. You can also stay and enjoy the view of the town from the porch chairs or the many books and puzzles in the inviting lobby. Will return again."

"Check in was a little tricky. When you arrive, you check in via text. The person receiving the text is not on site. You have to wait for the on site staff to receive a message from whoever has the contact phone. The gentleman who was on site that weekend was very helpful."
