We enjoyed our stay! A little disappointed we weren't able to use the free wine tasting voucher (only stayed one night and the tasting room was closing when we checked in), but not a huge deal. The hotel was beautifully decorated and complimentary breakfast was tasty. Some of the room features could use some TLC. Our door handle was loose, would have liked more pillows, and lighting in the bathroom was awkwardly placed (at eye level right next to the toilet). Going at an off-peak time was nice - we could hear others in the hallway, but it wasn't a major issue since the other guests were quiet and respectful. Overall, this was a great retreat and we would return!

Everything about this place was great except for one thing. The wifi was horrible! This hotel needs to invest in better Wi-Fi for its guests. Since there is no cell service, Wi-Fi would be helpful for guests so they can make Wi-Fi calls and work on their computers.

This review focuses, mostly, internet issues. The internet is horrible lacking and spotty. They have at least 4 networks you can use, basically none of them work. Needed to go on my hotspot quite often. This was our 14th stay here and the net was always perfect before. No more bottles of water, no coffee maker and the free complimentary wine tasting has been reduced to 4 wines ( 2 cheapest whites and 2 cheapest reds), from 6 and we used to receive a stepped up flight of red. Breakfast was good, delivered to the room because this particular night there were few people there..no problem, that was all good. We pretty much go to the Wedmore whenever we are in Williamsburg and will go back. Nice and quiet and they provide robes, lol. Again, the internet is unlike any hotel experience in the last 15 years. Trying to save money, maybe. I feel badly for the front desk clerks who probably garner most of the grief.

The staff were welcoming and helpful during our stay. We loved the decorated room - The Lombardi. Each of the rooms had a wood-burning fireplace, which is a nice feature in the winter. The breakfast included a nice assortment of mixed fruits, cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurt, sausage, croissants, and quiche. We stayed in December, so the pool was not open, but it looked nice for a spring or summer visit. The location has the winery and the Gabriel Archer Tavern within walking distance. It is a short drive to Colonial Williamsburg. Since the B & B is in a wooded area, the Wifi and cellular reception can be spotty sometimes. We truly enjoyed our stay at Wedmore Place!

The hotel is nice and in a pleasant setting. We rented 3 rooms and upon our arrival the TV was not working in 2 of them. We had a lot of trouble trying to get on the wifi and eventually gave up. There was no coffee maker in our room. They did provide us with one when we requested it.

This was our third time there and it was such a disappointing experience. There was no tv, internet, hot water or use of the fireplace. The room was nice and clean and the staff were fine. We did enjoy the breakfast but that was the only thing that went right this trip.
