Room was pretty shabby , needing refurbishment but very clean. The mattress was very soft and could do with replacing.
As the room was painted in dark colours it made it feel very small but the lighting over the bed made reading comfortable.
The room I had overlooked the outside beer garden which had lights on all night. The shutters did not keep the light out.
As a woman on her own I noticed there was no bolt or chain from the inside but I did feel safe.
The bar downstairs was really pleasant and I could read there quietly without disturbance. The friendly member of staff brought me another drink when I needed one so it was a very pleasant evening.
Parking was okay staff were very friendly room needs a lot of attention ie painting broken blinds poor lighting used for convenience for airport unfortunately would not use again

Selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. The room was clean and had everything that we needed. The location was ideal for where we needed to go and it was just a few minutes walk from the train station. The staff were lovely from the moment that we got there. They were so welcoming and friendly.
Lovely stay at the King William. The staff were amazing, so friendly. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was a hot evening so the Manager went out and bought all the rooms fans which was a lovely touch. Would stay here again.
All good local to village shops restaurants and bars

Rooms are dull and dated. Beds are small and creaky without a decent headboard. Movement sensor in the bathroom means light switches off every few seconds unless you move. Control switch for the electric shower was in the bedroom and dodgy. Money needs to be spent on updating everything. No problem with cleanliness and convenient location for Wilmslow. Perhaps we expected too much but the room was not refreshed after the first night and we ran ran out of tea.
Staff were friendly. Car park was free and adequate. We didn't use the pub this time but on our previous visit we found the bar and staff excellent.
Very welcoming staff who were absolutely amazing with us. Rooms were very nice and cosy and extremely comfortable. Would definitely stay again. We stayed for 2nights/3days and even wanted to stay another night! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Plenty of shops around too.
Fabulous location... Easy to park up . Very welcoming Manager behind the bar.. only had some chicken wings and dirty fries to snack on before we headed out as we were eating later.. But they were really tasty and would Def recommend. Will be booking again next time we fly early morning
We, my husband and me, stayed one night before flying early morning from Manchester airport and everything was perfect. The host and the staff were very accommodating I would highly recommend.
Absolutely lovely place and excellent customer service. Really lovely touches like beautiful large soft towels and toiletries and super comfortable beds... Made to feel more than welcome and could get in the room early which helped, but if not would have held our luggage etc with no problems. Food and drinks also fabulous!! Stay it was well worth it!

Staff in the pub friendly and helpful. Shower not working in the room
Very cool historical building (pub) fit the bill perfectly for a quick overnight. Simple, single bed and bath but it’s all I needed.
Great staff and owner. Great value.
A nice clean and quiet room well located for an early morning flight out of the airport. Quick and easy check in with a friendly member of staff. Went a run at 4am before my flight and the local area provided a pleasant route. The pub associated with the rooms looked homely. Thank you
