"First time stay at this hotel. Everything perfect, good location, attentive staff, lovely room. Breakfast was excellent, choice of freshly cooked dishes. Will return again. Tip car parking is safe and secure at the railway station for £6 via JustPark. "

It will clearly quickly get back to reaching the excellent heights of its past ( prior to a disastrous short period of management by the OYO group) The new owners have by already begun to make significantly great progress with the food back fresh and available in restaurant and bar again. Plus the bar back to good welcoming and inclusive operation again. ( welcoming local customers) . Work is well underway to bring the rooms back to their previous standards. My double was very comfortable and had all I needed. The staff were welcoming helpful and very professional. Very happy to return when next visiting the area. "

"There was no spa pool, tried to make a booking before our stay for a massage, was sent a message staying our request was waitlisted? When arrived at the hotel we were told there was no availability for massages on any of the 3 days we were staying so in my opinion little point in calling yourself a spa hotel if you have 1 part time person available to do massages "
