The Grand Brighton

"Great Location, Cool Building with Interesting Historical Character but with Modernised Rooms - but not to the standard that they are charging for them, felt quite overpriced to me as someone who regularly travels, I’ve had much better rooms at the cheaper chain hotels. With the rooms being average you possibly could expect the hotel to justify its high prices through good service instead but again this was also average at best - with the exception of the concierge staff who were all brilliant, everyone else we interacted with felt like they couldn’t care less, nothing they said was particularly rude or wrong, it just felt like a lack of effort and like they were doing the bare minimum - Totally acceptable in a £70 a night Travelodge but not at The Grand’s prices. Everything else felt like a particularly pricey add on to try and fleece you too - parking @ £40 a night, Pool access is £27 a person for a 1.5 hour slot - if you managed to pre-book it, I ordered one alcoholic single and a mixer and a non-alcoholic drink at the bar and paid in excess of £25 for it. They need to either up their service levels / customer experience significantly or drop their prices a chunk to suit what they are currently offering to customers."

"The rooms are clean and tidy and maintained daily during your stay. The staff friendly and efficient. The hotel's aspect and position is ideal. The sea in front the village behind. I would change the breakfast set-up but that is personal taste. Who wants 'sweet potato' with 'samphire' hash browns? No option to have real hash browns with no funny business. The rooms are pleasant but a mini-fridge would be helpful. The balcony superb. The local bus services are very convenient. All in all a delightful experience."

"Fab apartment located in the middle of Brighton marina with excellent bus links into town (Every 6 minutes). Property was clean and tidy and well equipped. Beds were super comfy and the kitchen had everything you would need to do breakfast (Big Asda 5 mins walk from apartment). Keys were easy to obtain from the security office and dedicated parking space outside. What's not to like"

"Amazing stay for a friend’s hen do! Just what we wanted, outside of Brighton but still so accessible. Very peaceful and everything was as we wanted. Very clean and was so lovely to have eggs and milk left for us. Would 100% recommend!"
