Unfortunately our stay wasn't great. OYO Central office moved us to another OYO guesthouse, but didn't bother telling us or Hotels.com. It was an absolute headache for the guesthouse owner of Vale Lodge to sort out. OYO Central office were rude to both us and the guesthouse owner and even tried to insist we pay again and try and get a refund off Hotels.com! The guesthouse owner was friendly and helpful and Hotels.com did a great job of sorting out the mess. The place wasn't the cleanest however which is concerning during the current pandemic and I wouldn't stay with an OYO chain again because of their appalling customer service. The guesthouse is about a 15/20 minute walk to the main town so a good location for most attractions.
partition wall in bathroom so thin to next door no toiletpaper holder did not expect breakfast in bedroom and sit on bed to eat cleanes could be better could not open window because no handle in case of fire
would not class it as five star guest house as advertised
The room is really cramped and uncomfortable. Toilet is so small and awkward that we had to keep the door open when using it, the tiny wash basin is in the tiny shower room separate from the toilet. You have to use mug to get water for the kettle because the only tap is in the tiny shower room, and it’s too tiny for putting the kettle under the tap.
Tv didn’t work. Virtually no PowerPoints. Main issue was talking between owners in lounge below my room which was very loud and went onto past midnight. The woman running the business was very polite and I believe trying to get the two others to stop talking on the night in question.
I was there for a work event at Windsor race course. I could park my car, walk 5 mins to the race course. For the money I couldn't fault the lodge, it was perfect for what I needed.
This hotel/guest house I'd conveniently situated on a £5 taxi ride to the centre of Windsor.. Extremely polite and pleasing staff and is vey clean. My main bone of contention is that the bed in the room that we stayed in was not very comfortable and unfortunately I did not get the deluxe room that I had booked. However i was given a £20 rebate as recompense. Overall happy!
We stayed here as we planned for a family trip to legoland windsor which was about half hour away by car (leisurely drive). The guest house was next to the main road. The only problem was the lack of signage. We only saw GH at the entrance- we guessed that it meant guesthouse which made us stop after a few turns and rounds down the street.
Other than that, the rooms are clean and spacious enough for a pleasant stay.
The guest house is a few minuit's walk from Windsor race track, which is why we chose it. The double glazing shuts out the plane noise well. There was a small fridge in our room, which you might want to turn off overnight if sensitive to the motor noise. Room was modest but adequate. Bathroom and shower was large, though no shelf or shaving light. We thought towels had been changed but found the damp towels from the morning had been folded and put on bed. That included one we used in the absence of a mat because the grout was coming out of the floor tiles! Continental breakfast in room is available for £5 each, but we chose nearby Harvester, which was good value.

Bra B&B!

Nice but weird and not very convenient
The room itself was very good. Just be aware that it's literally in a house and not a B&B (just keys no service) It's between a motorway, trading estate and residential zone. We used it as a jumper to get to Dorney lake which reads as 800m however with the road layout it was 6.5 miles and Windsor castle around 2 miles. Know this and
