"I was disappointed with my recent stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Windsor Sonoma Wine Country. About three weeks before our trip, I reserved a studio suite with two queen beds and a sofa bed to accommodate four adults. However, when we arrived, we were informed that our reserved room was no longer available and were given a much smaller room with only two queen beds. Unfortunately, this room could not comfortably accommodate our group, and we were not notified of the change in advance, which left us with no opportunity to make alternative arrangements. After discussing the issue with the front desk, we were eventually offered an additional room. The second room contained only one king bed, was located far from the original room, and had a significantly less desirable view. As a result, our family was unable to stay together as planned and was separated throughout our stay. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication from management. I requested that the manager contact me to discuss the situation, both on the day of arrival and again the following day, but I never received a call back. The hotel itself was clean, and the staff members I interacted with were courteous. However, when guests book a specific room type well in advance, they should either receive the room they reserved or be notified beforehand if changes are necessary. Better communication and follow-through from management would have made a significant difference in my stay experience."

"***Note to future guests: there is no way this house can hold 10 people. The property is described as a "reverse flow floor plan" which means that all 2 bathrooms are on the BOTTOM FLOOR. The entrance, living room, and kitchen are on the middle floor. There is a loft area upstairs. Again, all the bathrooms are on the bottom floor so if you're sleeping on the top floor, you have to go down 2 steep flights of stairs. Honestly, I know this is stated after reading through the essay of a description on the property calling the bottom floor a "spa level", but we probably would not have booked since we had my 75 year old father-in-law with us and he had to climb up and down the stairs from his room. Location: 5 stars - 5-10 minutes from wineries and downtown. Parking on the windy street was a little tough, required at least a 3 point turn to park Views: 5 stars - great views of the forest and fun to see all the birds aroundCommunication: I know they're trying for 5 stars with overcommunication but I felt that the welcome text essay, 10 minute welcome call, and follow up text with 10 photos of birds flooding my inbox was excessive. Also, the paperwork that was required to fill out prior to staying with them felt excessive. Overall, the location worked for what we needed and where we wanted to go, but the overall layout of the house was not very convenient. A bathroom on the main or upper level would change my mind."

"We had a really great stay at this property in Healdsburg. The house is huge, but it gave everyone plenty of space to spread out and relax. We spent a lot of time outside, especially enjoying the pool and spa, and loved having multiple places to eat, like the dining room and breakfast table.The kitchen was probably the most well-stocked rental kitchen we’ve ever seen. It had more cooking utensils than we have at home, plus full sets of dishes, serving platters, a salad spinner, and even spices and other cooking ingredients. Everything was easy to find, which made cooking really enjoyable.The location is also great, super close to downtown Healdsburg and lots of wineries. The complimentary tasting at Limerick was a really nice touch too.The only downside was the cleanliness upon arrival. We noticed some dead bugs in the primary bathroom and a few spiders in other rooms. It looked like they had been sprayed but not cleaned up. That said, we reached out to the host, and she was very responsive and sent a cleaning crew over quickly, which we appreciated.Overall, we had a wonderful time, and with a bit more attention to cleaning before check-in, this place would be pretty close to perfect."

"Amazing view and beautiful property with extremely accommodating and responsive host. We had a really lovely time. The road to get to the property is windy/steep and one lane only so can be tricky at times but the view is worth it. We had a great trip and can’t wait for our next trip back."
