"Lovely hotel, friendly staff. Shame that on top of room price parking is 20 pounds per night . It's residents only so not sure why price is so hugh. They have removed their free welcome drink policy but it was offered on my Expedia voucher so I had to prove we were offered it which made me feel a bit cheap. Breakfast delicious but poached eggs were hard poached not runny like last time😔. Shame. Also the waitress was rather aggressive over us request to sit together at a table for 4 that was only laid for 2. We asked to sit together then as she was setting up the table we were told if you want to sit together you need to ask. Well we just had asked so this felt a little like we were being reprimanded! There were plenty of empty tables. However room was lovely "

"The hotel was being renovated, so the reception area was moved to the back of the property and our room was on an upper floor in a part of the hotel without a lift - a challenge with luggage. That said, the staff were attentive and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. "

"It was very nice, clean and local to town. It was just a bit smaller than we were expecting but the property itself was lovely and everything worked and there was a supply of tea,coffee and milk, shower wash, hand soaps. Would recommend. "

"Our host was accommodating he let us check in early and bought a new dinner set the next day when I alerted him. I liked the fact that parking came included and it was centrally located. We did have a few problems such as the excess dust and dirt under the sofa, the uncomfortable bed, the linen that really needs changing (it’s been washed too many times) and the dishwasher wasn’t functioning.
