"The property itself was spotless. I didn't see a speck of dust. It is obviously cleaned pretty much daily. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was good. The kitchen was clean and had everything you needed. I would add some baking trays and oven gloves but apart from that it was great! The bedroom was clean and tidy. "The bedroom was clean but there were a lot of stains on soft furnishings and the carpet etc. The carpet was very worn and bjnched in places - this should be looked at as this could trip up another custome. The spa and pool look loke it would have been lovely back in the day but it needs to be maintained - this does not seem to be the case. The back stairs and carpets were dirty as were the walls of the hallways. There was what looked like a leak through the ceiling of the stairs to the east of the buildings, where the plaster of the walls had peeled away and stains ran down from this. The staff were all polite. We probably wouldn't have seen the backstairs etc. But unfortunately the lift on that side of the building was not working so we needed to. This hotel has the potential to be great ..... - the family room was a fantastic size and had good amenities. The beds were OK in terms of comfort. The windows were falling apart a little and you could hear the traffic very clearly from the room. With some cleaning and a little update this would make a big change."
