It was a very nice place to stay the night, if anyone is looking for a good place to stay at Winton, I would recommend this motel.

We stayed for two nights at the Matilda hotel and were disappointed at the standard of the accommodation. We were in the back section of the motel that could do with some maintenance. The motel is a short walk from the middle of town. We would not stay at this motel again.

Reasonable motel in Winton

Old Style motel. rooms are a bit small but the rooms have been repainted, the beds are comfortable, the shower has good hot water and the staff are helpful and pleasant.

Good option easy walk to town centre

This motel is within an easy walk to the main street of the town. It was quiet but dusty as the area was unsealed. There are no restaurants in Winton but the 2 pubs were closeby with excellent meals. Not many motels around. We were happy with our choice. Town uses bore water.

Thanks for the four day part of my stay - didn't hesitate to book the extra night, would rebook because it is near the Winton Pool, the grocers and main street, ideal for Red Dirt Tours as well.

Comfortable stay

Matilda is an older motel but comfortable and clean. Manager Mark did all he could to make our stay pleasant and comfortable

Very nice place to stay in Winton

While the motel is old it was a great place to stay as it is very close to the main street in Winton. It is quiet and the motel has new linen, towels and bedspreads. They also have the most amazing birds.
