"Everything about this hotel from the first email they sent to me to ask if there was anything I needed ahead of time to the checkout was incredible. I used to work for the Beverly Hills Hotel which is part of the Dorchester collection. I have extremely high standards when it comes to service and every single person I encountered in this hotel on the staff was professional, engaging and friendly. As an American who has worked in the service industry for 40 years, this was very refreshing. I have found most British service to be lackluster at best. Perhaps why this stood out in my mind so much. The room was incredibly tidy and clean. The hallways were bright and there were tiny little decorative touches everywhere that made all the difference. The Rose room where we ate breakfast was beautiful with custom-made flower chandeliers that reminded me of Chihuly. The waitstaff were delightful! I highly recommend a stay here. The value for money is great. I suggest bringing cash to tip because service this good deserves a reward!! "

"The beer was cold and breakfast hot! Helpful and friendly, chatty staff. There’s a Waitrose next to the hotel for any bits & bobs you might need during your stay. Breakfast had a fair variety including make-your-own pancakes and lots of breads/pastries. Choice of non-dairy milks including oat and almond. Good overall."
