Cozy and quaint

Beautiful and comfortable, well-maintained suite in an adorable complex. Appreciated having Netflix on the TV to provide entertainment after a long voyage. Found everything we needed here!

Terrible check-in procedure. After 4 text messages I was finally told the code for the door is correct but I couldn’t check-in till 4. It was 3:30. No one was around. Rooms are musty and smell and the decor is tacky.

The unit was clean and tidy. We stayed only one night, but it was quiet and comfortable. The town is a quick walk away - and the town is absolutely amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer. Parking spots were a bit tight, but we parked and our car stayed put for the most part. We had a great experience here and would definitely book again if we have the opportunity to come back to the area.

Lovely room, quiet. Lots of rules outlined in our welcome email, which detracted from the sense of welcoming. And we had to call to find out the wifi password as it was not noted anywhere that we could find - just a ton of rules of what not to do. Multiple text messages instead of personal contact didn’t help us be “unplugged” on our vacation. The “full breakfast” was rather lean, with photos of abundant fruit and skimpy portions. No salt and pepper included. Very plain Wonder bread. Having to describe all the details of your breakfast the day before was not what I had hoped for.

Was happy to find a room with two beds in Wolfville with amenities like a coffee maker w/ supplied coffee, an airfryer, microwave and refrigerator. The grounds were beautiful, the neighborhood quietly tucked off of the Main street, but near enough to walk to the beautiful Arcadia University Irving Gardens and downtown. The host/ manager are very communicative with check-in expectations and a pair of sneakers we left behind. Assigned parking was a plus too. I would stay at the Gingerbread House Inn again!

The door keypad needs improvement. The numbers were not visible until the keypad was touched, at which point they illuminated. However, that first touch also registered as a keypress, inadvertently entering a digit and causing the access code to be entered incorrectly multiple times. This made gaining access unnecessarily confusing and frustrating.

Quaint and Clean

This property was exactly as advertised - very quaint and very clean, with the exception of the drywall patching that was unsuccessfully covered by too small of a framed picture. The bathroom was modern, but it would have been nice to have a shower cap and some makeup remover wipes to use during our stay. There was delicious lemonade waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived. The breakfast menu looked good, and it was nice to have our breakfast delivered to the door but, unfortunately, the food arrived cold. Parking was quite confusing because it’s hard to see that there is a driveway to the back of the property when you are on the street - perhaps better signage out front would help first timers. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
