It worked great as a basecamp for a family of 8 including 5 children and 3 adults. "Went to check in at 5:50 PM was told our room would not be ready for an hour. Made a 8:00 reservation for dinner. Finally got checked in at 7:00. Went down for dinner at 7:50. Waited in a long line with others who had a reservation. Was seated for dinner at 8:40. Was told our food would take an hour to receive. An hour latter we received a cold burger and fries. The room was very cute and wasn't an issue not having a bathroom in room. It wasn't very noisy even though the hotel was sold out. We found out the next day that they had only been open 3 days into the season and the cleaning crew didn't show up. I would think after so many years they would have this down better. They did nothing to make any of it right but we still enjoyed our stay and the beauty of the old historical Inn."
