While there’s now some cell service, it still feels wonderfully off the grid. Surrounded by nature, it’s easy to slow down, breathe deeply, and truly relax.The cabin itself is cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Whether you are sitting by the fire, listening to the sounds of the forest, taking a walk through the trails, or swimming in the lake (the new dock is great!), this place is a true gem!"

"My family had a wonderful experience staying at Tim and Amy's VRBO as we visited family nearby in Houlton and Monticello. The size of the VRBO was bigger than I expected, and everything was just really nice, well kept and organized. The landscaping around the property was also amazing. I grew up coming to Maine in the summers and the backyard was idyllic - wildflowers, tall grass, a well manicured nature path into the woods, and some deer. So easy to get into Houlton, lots of privacy, great cooling and heating, nice showers...everything we could have asked for and more. It is a duplex, we had neighbors the first night and we couldn't even tell except for the other car in the driveway. Amy and Tim designed the duplex well with the garage in the middle, so it gives an additional buffer against any sound. We don't get to Maine often, but when we do...no doubt we'll be looking to stay here again. "

"This is an old fashioned camp, but with the update of electricity and indoor plumbing. It maintains that rustic camp life feel with a little more comfort. I will note that this is a bring your own sheets and towels rental. "
