We requested a ride from the airport to the hotel in advance and they did not answer our message, twice. We called a cab and couldn’t communicate where we needed to go so we called the hotel to help us and they hung up on us twice. We booked a room for two beds and a sofa bed and when we got there they said they do not have a room with a sofa bed for us and that we would have to pay extra for it. We showed them our booking and told them we will only except what we booked and they gave us 2 beds and a cot, but did not charge us extra. The room was very stuffy and hot. When we complained, they said the A/C is being repaired and sent up a small fan. We wanted to see the pandas at the Shaanxi National Reserve (which we found in their travel book in the room) and we paid for a driver to take us there. We were told it was a 2 hr trip there and back, 4 hours total but it really was 4 hours there and back 8 in total so we ended up detouring to the local zoo. Any time we needed something, no one was standing at the concierge desk. We tried several times to get the people at the desk ‘s attention and they ignored us. There was only one man who spoke English that really helped us our whole visit. We tried to book with the hotel to go to the Tang Dynasty Show, a very popular show for tourists, and they said we could not go and offered we see it in the cinema instead. Overall, we were not happy with the lack of communication and service and no air conditioning.
The staffs do not speak English and it is very bad because we had an issue with our room and payment and it was very difficult to solve it. Also the room was dirty and in a bad condition and they gave us a room with a really bad smoke smell.
Really disapointing because we did not have what we expected.

Hotel was fine for the price I paid, but it is a bit old and location is also quite good too.
Might be a great star-studded hotel for a local Chinese businessman but a nightmare and torture chamber for a foreign traveler who does not speak the local language.
It may have been a great hotel for a local Chinese businessman from what I could understand however it was not in the area for a traveler or tourist to stay. Traveling in China if you do not speak the local language is a very challenging country to navigate at the best of times. For a traveler who is visiting this complex country and booking a hotel on an international website one would think that they would ensure that someone could welcome Travellers and foreigners and at least have a basic understanding of foreign languages, not to say English, but it is probably the number one international language that most people traveling turn to as the universal language. Nobody in the hotel spoke English there was no care for the client, nor did they make any efforts to help me and they were very misleading with respect to airport shuttle, as there was none from the airport and there was none to the airport and they did nothing or little about it other than set me up with a taxi and then I was on my own. In the morning when I was clearly in distress, as I had no idea who to turn to in order to continue my travels and visit these world famous protected UNESCO locations, they even had the audacity to charge me for a cup of coffee, that would be a stretch to say was coffee. I was more than happy to pay, need more space...

Could have been a lot better; don't like surprises
This hotel felt like it was in a club. Everywhere we went was dark; hardly a natural light window anywhere other than the room. The hotel lobby was dark as well as the breakfast room and the elevators. We had a major unpleasant experience checking in. Our reservation very clearly stated 3 ADULTS and free breakfast. Our room was for 3, stating a king size bed and pull out sofa. When we got there they seemed surprised to see 3 adults. After a long check-in process, they take us to the room to show us the sleeping arrangements because there were 3 people. They stated they could give us a roll-in bed for 200RMB more (around $35). They take us to the room and there is a king size bed and a chair with ottoman. The girl tells us this small round chair and ottoman is the third bed! LOL! Not even a kid could sleep on it. We go back to the lobby. We get told they would bring a roll-in bed but breakfast was just for 2 people. We keep getting told the same thing for a while, being told our reservation said it was breakfast for 2, which I had in front of me showing 3 adults and free breakfast....no indication of breakfast for only 2. After more time was wasted and we pointed out our tourism time was being eaten up just trying to get to our room, they conceded and we got a roll-in bed and breakfast for 3. The AC in the room was not strong at all, so our night of sleep was not so good because we were hot. We were just glad to only be staying one night.

On arrival booking was not to be found after logging on to my hotel.com account it was looked at in dismay after a lot of discussions a room was allocated. The room was very well set out & large the only problem with room is there was a terrible Smell from second toilet drain & the air conditioning was too hot ( on request to have mantinence ) was told switch it off or open the windows
Breakfast not the best but ok service was not attentive waited to be served in bar lounge over 10 minutes then after ordering still had to wait to be served our order eventually served but only after going to the bar & reqesting our drinks.
