Lovely well appointed villa..a Golfers Paradise!

This villa has a spacious, tastefully decorated lounge area with 2 large sofas, TV with full satellite UK TV package and DVD player. The open plan kitchen is fully fitted with all mod cons including dishwasher and microwave. The separate dining area is located in the conservatory with plenty of comfortable seating. One bedroom has a king sized bed and one has twin beds, both bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe space. There are two bathrooms in the villa one with a walk-in shower and the second with a bath and shower overhead and twin sinks. There is free WiFi in the villa.

Exterior
Outside there is off-street parking at the front of the villa, then a well-established garden area with pool which can be electrically heated in the cooler months. There is a 3 whole mini golf green to keep the family entertained. There are sun loungers available and also a further dining area outside under the pergola for you to sit and enjoy a cool glass of Sangria, also for any budding chefs there is a coal BBQ in the garden area.

Villa Halcyon is perfectly situated in the outskirts of the popular tourist resort of Playa Blanca so you can enjoy both a quiet and relaxing holiday at the villa and be in the centre of the resort in no time as it is only a 5 minute drive away. There is a small parade of shops within a 2 minute walk. These include 2 supermarkets, a bakery and a small selection of bars and restaurants. Within a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive you can join a coastal walkway to enjoy a picturesque ocean side amble that stretches from the lighthouse through to the Rubicon Marina. The resort boasts 3 golden sandy beaches, one in the centre of the village, Playa Flamingo and Playa Dorada. Drive just 15 minutes outside Playa Blanca to experience the stunning, natural Papagayo beaches, one of the islands main tourist attractions.

Great location and great villa

The villa is a 2 minute walk from a row of restaurants and shops, makes life easy when you have a young family. The best beach is a 10 minute drive away so best to hire a car. The villa description is very accurate. Plenty of space for a family and the garden is very large. All appliances in working order and no problems within the villa. Great stay - would recommend.

a really nice villa!

We arrived just after seeing the review left in Nov, so were a bit worried. The property managers assured us that all the issues were dealt with, and they really made a good effort! We found the villa pretty much as described in the photos, the bed in the main bedroom was nice and big (though a bit soft, if it's important to you), the freezer was indeed replaced, and lights worked (the theme of the villa's lighting is one of soft lights only - except for the kitchen - but other than that it worked fine). The golf course isn't that ellaborate though - it's only 3 holes and the poles aren't really fixed in the ground, but it's a nice addition. We had lots of fun at the pool - but consider that it takes a ot of time to heat up and in the cooler hours of the day (over Xmas) it might not be warm enough to be in the water for long. They provided all sorts of extras - such as an iflatable matress for the pool and some pool noodels, which was really nice! We even found that they bought a few baking tins after I mentioned I might want to bake with the kids, which was such a nice gesture! We did ask about coffee makers and were told they don't have any, only to find there were 2 when we actually got there - not sure if it was a last minute addition on their part or not, but the one I brought was made redundant :-D There were also some essentials in the kitchen - maybe left by previous guests - such as coffee, tea, sugar, oil, salt and pepper - we left some too, it's really nice not to have to get everything from scratch. The only hickup was that you need to be minded that the boiler wouldn't be enough to allow 4 people to shower around the same time, and certainly not to take a bath. There may be a way to fix that though - we didn't ask :-) All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and were very sad to leave... Thank you!

The photos and description of this property were not misleading but just cleverly presented, when arriving it soon unfolded that a number of tatty items were excluded from the photo angles so in reality what appeared to be an immaculate property, actually showed to be just a business that didnt appear to really be concerned for the guests comfort The very first time i sat on the patio furniture i ended up on the floor after falling through the bottom of chair !, this was on the first day which obviously set out our stall and the tone for the remainder of the holiday Additionally there were ceiling lights in the ensuite bathroom hanging out of the ceiling , more broken patio furniture, un-useable BBQ, broken terracotta pots everywhere, broken Freezer draw and dirty seals, the list is actually quite extensive and we have photos to back all this up. We did attempt to change to an alternative propery but none was available. Communications with the Management team was good and they sent arepresentative round to speak to us and hear our complaints, however nothing was actually remedied during our stay, so that was a waste of time. Tha master bedroom bed would have been a nightmare had we have been able to sleep, you literally couldnt blink without it creaking all the time, the bedding was like it had come from a charity shop and the quilt kept slipping out of the quilt cover as all the fasteners had melted off during laundry. Lamps and lightbulbs throughout were blown or missing and the most comical of all was the Fan, i would love to send anyone interested a video i took of its performance. Its actually a nice house and has massive potential if they would just sacrifice a months income and pay attention to details and get them fixed. Overall we had a nice holiday thanks to the strip mall 5 mins walk away with great restaurants and a great cocktail lounge. The coastal path walk to playa is a must and only 3 miles each way We were refunded €100 as a geusture which was nice, but relative to the original cost was probably a little on the low side For us this is not really a money thing its more about quality of product, I hope this hits home and encourages the attention to make this the villa and business opportunity it should be

The villa was as per the photographs and as described. Great location as short stroll (about 2 minutes) from the lovely restaurants and a few shops. Very quiet and relaxing area to be in. Will hopefully be back again.

Lovely villa in perfect peaceful location

We loved the comfortable beds and seating inside and out a bonus to have the separate dining area beautifully warm pool used every day the mini putting green area having amazon fire stick to watch English speaking films & tv channels Would like to recommend: better kitchen equipment top sheets as well as duvets as nights can be very warm Checking out electrical equipment before guests arrive eg batteries in remote controls Better pool cover A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL T A1 VILLAS WHO SORTED OUT OUR DIFFICULTIES VERY QUICKLY & EFFICIENTLY WE LOVED OUR STAY AT HALCYON VILLA AND WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO RETURN
