(i used tissues that I had brought with me)... When I asked at the front desk, they seemed surprised... like if I were using it in an abnormal way or in excessive...

"Stayed one night after taking a train down from Fukuoka to check out the city. Very close to the train station so I could store my luggage at the station before checking in to the hotel. I checked in later in the day after arriving to Kagoshima in the AM. Check in was very simple and quick. Desk clerk understood my Japanese/English mix. Some descent restaurants in the area. Room was comfortable for one. Stayed in many APA hotels in Japan. Inexpensive room but I’m not hanging out in the room...
