The stay was wonderful, Elar (sp?) and neighbor Mari looked after us incredibly well. They prepared wonderful meals and arranged all sorts of outings. Highly recommended.

Miskiwasi was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and smelt amazing. The food served at the hotel was lovely and very delicious. A nice variety for breakfast and dinner. The owners of Miskiwasi were so accommodating. They helped up with booking tours and taxis, and made sure we got to each place we needed to be. We would highly recommend doing Chimpa Fortress as we saw over 20 condors and enjoyed a hike at the same time (much cheaper then the Colca cross tour, less people and more condors!). Yanque is very small, a trip to Chivay may be of interest if you have the spare time.

A rare gem with cozy atmosphere

Our family of 4 stayed one day in this hotel. The whole property including internal garden is beautiful and very clean. We have been especially impressed by the dinner served after our trip to Colca Canyon. It was delicious with high end restaurant presentation. The staff was attentive and very helpful.

Excellente adresse à ne pas manquer!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet établissement ! Un accueil très chaleureux, les hôtes sont très serviables, la chambre est très spacieuse et confortable, mais vous ne devez absolument pas passer à côté du restaurant de l’hôtel ! Simplement excellent !

Fantastic stay at Miskiwasi

Everything about Miskiwasi was excellent. The accommodations are very comfortable and the restaurant is the best in Yanqui or Chivay. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Das kleine Hotel in Yanque wirkt sehr gemütlich. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und unglaublich freundlich. Ein sicherer Parkplatz wurde uns in einem gegenüber liegenden Innenhof angeboten. Das Restaurant des Hauses ist sehr empfehlenswert.

We stayed in Miskiwasi for one night on our way to the Sacred Valley and wished we could have stayed longer. Elar was a wonderful host, helping with our bags and ensuring we had hot drinks waiting for us in our room on arrival. Our stay was comfortable, quiet and restful. Breakfast in the morning consisted of freshly squeezed juice, a fresh fruit platter, warm buns, eggs done to perfection, butter, jam, tea/coffee and great service. We definitely recommend Miskiwasi and would stay again!!

Great hostel in Yanque valley

The host is super helpful - helped us arrange tours of the Colcha Canyon, ongoing travel to arequipa etc. Showed us the walks in Yanque valley and was generally a star. The area aroung Yanque is stunning; the village itself is a bit ramshackle, but genuine. The food (Breakfast and evening meals) served at the hostel were all delicious. Basically if you're considering Yanque or Chivay as your base for Colcha then stay here. Loved it.

Ficamos 2 noites neste encantador hotel. O sr Elar e a sra Paulina são muito amáveis, caprichosos em tudo, tão especiais que a Paulina foi em outra cidade comprar um chá de conhecimento local para a tosse da minha mãe, uma planta que só cresce a 4mil metros de altura e a ajudou muito!o sr Elar nos ajudou nos passeios desde muito antes do nosso embarque para o Peru!e quando estávamos lá nos deu dicas, reservou taxi, ônibus, tudo!Neste hotel tudo é um capricho, café da manhã farto!jantar a luz de velas delicioso, indico flan de quinua!é só você marcar a hora que tudo estará pronto com muito capricho!muito bem localizado, tudo perto, praça principal, lojas, águas termais!internet ótima!quarto muito limpo confortável, chuveiro muito bom e quente!adoramos tudo neste hotel!principalmente o atendimento e acolhimento especial!voltaríamos e recomendamos com toda certeza!

This small hotel is hosted by a lovely and helpful family. The rooms are comfy and we were thrilled with the breakfast and dinner. We won't find better service anywhere.

Friendly and comfortable

We stayed for two nights at this delightful little bed and breakfast. Our room was very comfortable, and thanks to an electric heater was lovely and warm when the temperature dropped in the evening. We ate dinner here on both nights, and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The owner and the two ladies helping him were all extremely friendly and helpful in arranging our tour to see the condors and also our taxi and bus back to Arequipa.

Terrific host, good food, great value

This is a small establishment, with only about five rooms, which sometimes fill up. The rooms are well appointed and very clean, and there is a pleasant small garden. Both the breakfast and the dinner, which are served on site, were well presented and fresh and tasty. They prefer that you order your dinner ahead of time in order to prepare. The town overall is not used to many tourists, so it was a pleasant surprise to find there was a good dinner available only steps from our room. At one point our shower did not work well because the pressure was down throughout town -- not the fault of the hotel, but a reflection of the local infrastructure status. The best part of the hotel is Elar, the host, who did absolutely anything that was needed, from checking us in to serving our meals to giving us guidance; even making many phone calls on our behalf to correct an error made by the operator of the tour we were on. In hindsight, we wish we had had him arrange our tour rather than the company we had used.

Relaxing, welcoming stay

A tranquil B&B in the quiet village of Yanque. Our room, with a traditional thatched roof, was beautifully clean and had a very large bed and nice wooden floor. We ate dinner in the small restaurant both nights and the service from the attentive and friendly owner was excellent and the food truly delicious. I also recommend the hot chocolate! The owner and his family helped organise a tour to the Mirador Cruz del Condor. Overall, an extremely relaxing stay.
