"It was a bit of an adventure finding Hotel Pacifica after a long day of travel, given it is located on the far side of the river with no obvious way to cross, but after asking directions from another "gringo" we found our way across the foot bridge. The suite was fine for three adults although a bit sparse in terms of kitchen supplies. Good enough for a simple breakfast or lunch but cooking supper would've been difficult. "We have stayed at Tropicana Hotel frequently over the last twenty years during vacations to Puerto Vallarta. The location is amazing, but the hotel is showing signs of aging. Tiles are missing from the pools. Prices per room are much higher, and the food service is just adequate. Considering the hotel is charging 40% higher prices than last time we were here, it seems like a good time to consider 3-star alternatives."

"This place is in a great location downtown. The only downfall is that it’s rather small and it’s kid friendly so you will be woken up by screaming kids every morning. However, the food and service was amazing, rooms clean and the bed was very comfortable. I will definitely be back to PV but might try an adults only stay."
