"Really loved this place, bit secluded but not too distant from Amanohashidate and Ine. Rooms are comfy and spacious, there's free bike rental (incl e-bikes), great views etc. "

"Clean rooms, staff was extremely helpful, friendly and went above to welcome visitors. Kept rooms supplied with amenities each day by just leaving a stocked amenities bag at our door while we were out exploring the town. "

"Very attentive staff, serene atmosphere, and excellent food. Dinner and breakfast were amazing with many regional foods I’d never tried before. Access to the many onsen in town was simple and fast. Cute town."

"The hotel has been recently rebranded and is undergoing extensive renovations. The bits they've finished, like the rooms and the dining room, are new and shiny. The room itself was comfortable. It's close to the town, which has good izakaya and other options if you're not on a meal plan. There is also a Lawson close-by.
On weekdays especially the hotel is an active construction site inside and out. It probably isn't what the workers want, to have to share a construction site with guests. It...

"A nice little retreat not too far from Amanohasidate. Great location, great sauna and fantastic breakfasts. The best place to just take a day or two to yourself."

"Staff were incredibly attentive and nice. Even with the language barrier they went above and beyond using Google Translate to explain the courses of our dinners and breakfasts, as well as information about the town. The hotel was slightly out of town (15mins walk) but they have a shuttle that was basically on demand. We wanted to go into town for the night and they dropped and picked us up at our desired time. "Hotel was the tops. Exptional room and amenities. Staff were great. Communications was really good. Room lacked hanging space for towels. We have been Japan for 5 weeks touring by bike. The Fairfield was by far the best."
"This hotel was an amazing one night stay. We had a outside Onsen room. It was so relaxing for my husband and I to use. The bathroom shower was spa like. All the hair & face products I loved. The PJ'S to relax in has made me want to purchase a pair while in Japan. I would stay here again. We did not purchase the food package and I will tell you for dinner in Amanohashidate they had 3 dinner choices. One restaurant that we couldn't get into, Ramen that was yummy that we ahd for lunch and a pizza place that was a 20 min taxi ride each way. Pizza was not a cheap dinner once you had the taxi ride into it. That was my only compliment about this town was dinner options. Everything closed really early around 5pm."
"This is a hard review to leave as I think maybe this stay was not our style. The futons on the floor are so uncomfortable that I instantly regretted booking a second night - my husband and I got no rest at this hotel and woke up extremely sore. The food was another issue - people rave on these reviews how great the food was and it was horrible they also give you way too much that I cannot imagine how much waste this place has each day. We found a good pizza restaurant downtown which was exactly what we needed to take a break from the food. The property is also a bit dated and needs TLC. We did rent the bikes for a day to go to the caves - that was really fun. The walk to the town is super short but yet they insist on driving you - which we declined every time. The onsen was lovely however we apparently picked family weekend which made this “relaxing stay” even worse. Kids running up and down hallways. Throwing buckets in the onsen and being loud. I couldn’t believe how many kids were there and it was like they were in control - no one disciplining the bad behavior. Overall this stay is not at all worth the cost. It was by far the most expensive stay on our trip and the most disappointing. I loved Kinosaki onsen but cannot recommend this stay"
"The room was spacious but placement of putting the luggage’s was difficult because of the design of the room. Staff was nice enough to send a message that I had left my phone charger and was kind enough to send it to my next hotel in Osaka, of course with a small fee. The onsen in the hotel was nice that I could use it for myself for 45 min. The pass from the hotel allowed us to use other nearby onsens as well."
"A good spot to stay in Kinosaki. The room itself was pretty outdated with an old tv - I really enjoy when hotel TV's have casting capabilities which this one did not. But the service and meals service was excellent, it's a self-serve buffet style dining which is great if you're a slightly fussy eater like myself.
A little disappointed that the room view was blocked by netting for maintenance, which Inwas advised prior to arrival but after booking. I think some form of discount would have been nice for the inconvenience considering I had booked a river view room."
"The hotel experience was awesome and the staff could not have been nicer. Beautiful lobby with garden view and appreciated the welcome drink from the bar.
The room was spacious with a lovely bathroom. Decoration was truly Japanese, with tatami mats and sliding doors. The room provided appropriate clothing for the onsens…yukata, obi, sandals etc. The onsen was modern, spotless and spacious, with both inside and outdoors areas, the later made of large rocks.
The shuttle service to other onsen areas and to and from the train station was an added plus."
