"The overall property was in a great location and the owner was in communication throughout our stay. Before and after as well.Our only gripe was the cleanliness. The was long black hairs on the sheet, dog or cat hairs on the blankets, and you could tell that some of the dishes weren't washed well. But overall I still give this place a 5 star because of the helpful owner communication, location, and cozy cabin feeling this property gives! We will repeat. We just hope things are a little cleaner next time."
"I had a great stay at the Narrow Gauge Inn! The room was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view that made mornings especially enjoyable. Parking was super easy, and the location is hard to beat — just about 2 miles from the south entrance of Yosemite, which made accessing the park incredibly convenient.
One of the highlights is the nearby train depot and scenic ride, which adds a unique charm to the area. The on-site restaurant has a wonderful historic atmosphere and looks fantastic, though the food itself was just okay.
Overall, a great place to stay if you’re visiting Yosemite — clean, convenient, and full of character. "
"My friend and I (ages 65 & 66) stayed 3 nights and went to Yosemite early each morning. This cabin met all our needs. Fully equipped, clean, comfortable, quiet and close to stores and restaurants. Host was an excellent communicator and quickly answered any questions we had. Parking is a little quirky but as Host suggests, backing in works best. "
"We had a great experience staying in the cabin!It was clean overall, and my daughter and son had a wonderful time—especially enjoying the little entertainment room.The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, and the bedrooms were clean and warm throughout the night.Two small things that could make the stay even better:•The outdoor tables and chairs on the porch could use a quick cleaning—we would have loved to spend more time out there.•The body wash had run out, so we ended up using shampoo instead.All in all, it’s a very clean and fun cabin to stay in.
