"* Weekend Fall stay for a prospective Auburn student visit. * Party of 6 - 2 of our younger kids shared a bed. House is incredibly well laid out where everyone had more than enough space but it is not so sprawling that everyone feels distant from each other* The outdoor fenced-in deck is the game-changer. Lots of seating. Lake was incredibly quiet for our weekend which provided an unexpected mental reset. * Everything was in great working order - modern appliances, great water-pressure, comfortable beds. It was all just easy. * There is a great new retail development approximately 12-14 minutes away via car that has a brand new Publix/Starbucks and feels like there will be a lot more coming. * That driveway is steep! ;) Took a little getting used to the first drive down but was old hat the next day. Low-gear is the way to go. * Finally, I inadvertently left a couple of garments which the owners contacted me right away. * 10/10 for me - we need the Short-Term-Rental world to normalize this experience."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We came for a long weekend to go to an Auburn game and this house couldn’t have been more perfect! Lakefront is beautiful and we rented a pontoon from a marina close by. The drive to Auburn wasn’t too bad in the house was plenty big for our group. It came with basic amenities, the only knock would be to provide a little more basic amenities like toilet paper and paper towel - but we made it work no problem, by easily ordering groceries to the home! Communication was easy and quick as well!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My only complaint was the cleanliness of the house. There was noticeable dust on the window ledges where my granddaughter wanted to hang out and look out the windows. There were quite a few cobwebs on the lamps and throughout both the inside and outside areas. We found several light bulbs that weren't working and replaced during our stay. With more attention dusting and cleaning between quests, this could be a great vacation rental. We enjoyed our family time and would have liked the overall condition of the house to better match the experience."

"Unfortunately, an unexpected high fever hit our son right before his 11th birthday weekend, and we had to cancel the lake trip he had been so excited to share with his buddies. Needless to say, there were some very disappointed kids—and parents!Although the rest of us never got the chance to truly experience this beautiful home, my husband did stay for one night so he could pack up our boat and get it into storage. We have stayed in many different Lake Martin homes throughout the summer, and when he came home, his exact assessment was that this was THE NICEST place we would have stayed all summer. Coming from him, that is very high praise!We were genuinely so disappointed that illness kept us from enjoying the home the way we had planned, because it was clear that it would have been the perfect place for such a special weekend. We are already hoping to circle back in the spring and give our son the 11th-birthday lake trip with his buddies that he missed.Thank you for opening such a wonderful home and sharing it with families like ours. Lake Martin is one of our very favorite places—a place where our family always seems to slow down, reconnect, and make some of our best memories. We only wish we could have made those memories here this time around, but hopefully this was simply a rain check. We would absolutely love the opportunity to come back and truly enjoy this beautiful place!"

"This was My 1st stay at this property and I must say beIlefr I was in the phone with the owners checking on becoming a regular there instead renting different houses. The owners was SUPER NICE and very attentive if tiu like kayaks they co.e with the property. I mean its centrally located to Publix and Renfroes about a 12 min. Drive to and 12 minutes back. "
