Overnight stay

We had an overnight stay in the Flanders Lodge Hotel, food was very good although the restaurant closed at 8.30 so had to rush in. Choice on menu was limited but cooed well. Nice bar area and very good breakfast. A very pleasant stay will very helpful staff

Flanders enjoyable

Given that I had a car it was a good hotel to stay at. Ample close car parking but no other amenities nearby. In house restaurant reasonable. Easy access to various battlefields which was the main purpose of the visit. Comfortable hotel with good buffet breakfast.

Four chaps on a motorcycle holiday, we stayed two nights and it was perfect for us. Rooms were clean with good bathrooms, breakfast was great, the bar was open and if you didn’t fancy a 30 minute walk into the centre of Ypres, a taxi ride was €15. So much to see in the area. Staff were great and really helpful. Not fancy but a perfect base.

We stayed for two nights in Flanders Lodge and found it very clean and comfortable. We were checked in by Hannes who was very friendly and jovial. The evening meal we had there was delicious, beautifully cooked pork cheeks with mustard sauce which just melted in your mouth, served by Hannes and two lovely ladies. The breakfast was amazing such a wide choice of hot or cold food. The hotel is very close to Ypres centre. All the staff were very friendly and accomodating. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

The hotel was very comfortable and the amenities were great. The main reason I chose this hotel was for the free on site parking as I found parking to be an otherwise confusing matter in the town of Ypres.

Close to Ypres

Great hotel for accessing Ypres, only a short walk into town and easy parking at hotel. Room was large, comfy bed and very clean. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of hot and cold options.

Comfortable , warm , clean on industrial estate but no food on Sunday and difficult to locate on car satnav. TV didn’t work . Good breakfast .

WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN

Lovely quiet location on the edge of town. Friendly welcome on arrival and in the bar. Good selection of beers available. Room layout felt a little bit strange and dark, but it was OK. Great shower. Window had no security unless it was completely shut, so I had to sleep with window shut as I was on the ground floor. Fantastic breakfast

Good for what it was intended for. Clean, friendly staff and good beds. Boring surroundings though, industrial business area. No good for dog walking. And somewhat too far from city centre for easy access, 20-30 minutes walking.

Positives - Walking distance to Ypres, with free parking, best breakfast on our trip Negatives - popular with coach parties, in this instance 2 coaches of children, so quite noisy, they did go quiet around 10.30pm but we're being woken up from 7am onwards. Other than that no negatives with the accommodation.
