"The hotel was modern and clean with lots of parking and a good breakfast in the morning. As a bonus there was a pool table where you could play for free. The hotel is a good distance from Breda centre, but you can get an Uber for around €10"

"This property provides a unique experience. It is like taking a step back in time because it was a working cruise ship once upon a time. The rooms are spacious, not like current cruise cabins. The beds are soft, not firm. The amenities in the room and bathroom are similar to what you’d find at any decent hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming from the moment you approach the property. We were greeted outside by the bell captain who helped us with our luggage and brought us aboard to the guest services area. People at the front desk are very helpful. Food in the restaurant was ok. Beef brisket should have been more tender, but meals that others had were fine. The location is close to the cruise port, which was great because we were sailing on Holland America and this hotel provides free shuttle service to the cruise terminal. This service was excellent! They took our bags right to the ship so embarkation was easy. I would definitely recommend this property. They also offer discounted tours of the ship for hotel guests. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to take advantage of this. "

"Stayed at the Hotel New York for one night prior to our cruise. The location was perfect as it was walking distance to cruise terminal. It is an historical building right on the pier in Rotterdam. The staff was excellent and the room well-appointed and very clean. There is a nice restaurant and bar in the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel for a pre/post cruise stay or your visit to Rotterdam. "The room was clean and spacious. We loved the bar, kids areas, and bar staff was very friendly. Within a 10-15 minute walk to the front gate of Efteling, and drive-able to other restaurants and shopping. We loved having a market directly beneath the hotel. We just wished there was at least a mini refrigerator and/or microwave in the room. We bought some perishables (cheese, meats) from the market and couldn't store them anywhere cold. "
