I have stayed at various hotels near Renmin University and this is by far the best choice in the area. I would definitely choose this hotel for my next trip to Renmin and nearby universities.

My stay was good. I would like to give a special thanks to the staff Wu Yan who work as a room cleaner on the 19th floor. During my stay in room 1934, she was very kind, responsive and helpful.

On checking in, we were told that we were booked in the Garden Tower, which was an old structure from 1987 and showed its age, and were encouraged to upgrade to the Valley Tower, that was only a few years old. I was surprised at such a significant disparity in the condition of the two towers, especially at the Shangri-la. Located in a Courtyard in pittoresque inner City, clean and confortable room, friendly staff, walking distance to public transport and restaurants, although a bit difficult for car access during rush hours. Overall a great stay!

First of all when I arrived hotel I thought it was mistake,location is too far from center beijing, but found out it was good, actually I visited Beijing Zoo by subway , very accessible, not too far. Takes Subway line 16 ,and 7stops and transfer to line 4, and 8 srops it was great to visit Zoo...not bad at all.... And hotel was very clean and room was hot so told front desk and they brought potable Fan and Jack sent an house keeper and fixed problem in no times.. Food is great. Breakfast ...

An excellent hotel in Beijing! The concierge team was outstanding, going above and beyond to secure entrance tickets to various sights of interest for us, which can be tricky for foreigners to do on their own. They were also super helpful in booking taxis, making our transportation hassle-free. The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic, offering a large selection of both Chinese and Western items. The staff were incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain the different foods and how to enjoy...

The room was spacious and the loft bed was really neat and comfortable. They even have an air purifier in the the room. The breakfast was really good and so was the dinner and affordable too. It was pretty central as well. I would stay there again if I go back to beijing!

I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Express, Shangdi. It is located about 10 minutes from the subway station, of the same name. In addition, there are various restaurants, a supermarket and a 7 Eleven close by. There is also a Walmart Supercenter two stations away at Zhichunlu (exit B). The room was clean and comfortable, and the wifi worked great. Once you sign in, you receive a 7 day account. I did not watch t.v., but the bathroom was nice and there was plenty of hot water each day....

Upon arriving my wife explained that we had a taxi that refused to use the meter and charged almost 4 times the usual fare. Having taken a picture of the side and license plate of the cab the concierge immediately called the cab company and the authorities on our behalf. After extensive discussion the entire fare was refunded later that day. Enquiries at the concierge desk were always handled with professionalism and friendliness not always found from concierges. Wonderful hotel! We stayed in room 1525 and it was beautiful and clean. I’m very particular about hotels and this met my standards. It was refreshing to go out and explore during the day and then return to such a lovely room. Staff were very helpful. Not everyone spoke English fluently but it was easy enough to communicate. Good location that is close to Xi’dan metro stop and 2 stops away from Tiananmen Square and the forbidden city. There were many upscale stores and typical food courts located...

If you want a hotel where you can find restaurants, taxis and easy access to the subway, then this is the hotel to stay at while in Beijing. The hotel is also in a section of the city where signage is in Chinese and a English, which is helpful if your Chinese is not very good.

I recommend this hotel. The only problem was that I took a reservation for 3 people in an executive suite and, when arrived the only room available had only one bed. ??. I ask for the other bed and They said that the bed have an extra cost.??. Finally, after a discussion, they did not charged the extra cost. I don´t know if the problem is from Expedia or from the hotel, but it is not logical a booking for 3 people with only one bed.

Muy buen hotel, situado en calle peatonal muy turística, y con acceso por carretera a 100metros. Nos quedamos en una habitación con terraza, y super bien, tranquilo y limpio. Además te hacen la limpieza de ropa gratis, todo un lujo hoy en día.

There is a lot of competition for hotels in Beijing. This one lives up to its status as a luxury hotel. The decor is spectacular, filled with lacquer, silk, and original artwork. The staff is incredibly professional. I did have a problem with the wifi and the staff went out of their way to solve the problem. And the location is really good, not far from historical/cultural sites, restaurants, and a metro stop.
