"I loved the location and how big the room was. We had booked a suit with see view, however see view was minimal. The room wasn’t very clean, we found leftover fruit in the fridge from previous guest and kettle was full of scale, it was so dirty that we actually had to go out and buy white vinegar in order to clean it as we were boiling water for our baby. The cot provided initially was broken and the base had to be changed to one that was okay. We had booked half board, food was tasty, however not many choices available and we did end up to eat out more than half of our stay. In general it was just okay but left us disappointed, not even once we were asked if everything was alright or if there was anything else that we would need. I wouldn’t go back there, I would prefer to have spend a bit more money and choose one of the hotels by the beach. "

"The Astoria Hotel is perfectly located directly opposite the port—ideal if you need convenient access. Upon entry, the air-conditioned foyer felt cool and luxurious. The gentleman at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our rooms were spacious, with strong air conditioning and large, well-appointed bathrooms. The hotel is situated right next to several restaurants and cafes, and there’s convenient parking available at the rear. I would definitely stay at the Astoria Hotel again and highly recommend it."

"Cannot think of anything negative about the hotel. Staff are wonderful. Room looking over bay was excellent. Lady came who we think was the manager to speak with all guests at breakfast, very charming. Breakfast very good. Shame there isn’t a restaurant as forced to go into Sivota or eat at the snack bar which had limited menu. We spent two nights here before flying home. Glad we had a car as the walk down into Sivota is steep and steeper coming back!!!! No lift at hotel and quite a few steps worth noting if elderly or infirm. "

The staff were welcoming and more than helpful. Perfect location, a few steps from the beach with views of the islands. This is a such a peaceful retreat and I would definitely recommend a stay. "
