"An excellent location for an overnight stay en route to Portugal, with amazing views and plenty of space to relax and unwind after many hours in the car. The owners were friendly and very accommodating - providing recommendations for dinner and things to do. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, and the continental breakfast in the morning was excellent. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this charming rural house in Mungía. Lourdes, the owner, is incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the room was spacious and very comfortable, and the whole area is peaceful and relaxing—perfect for a restful getaway. I highly recommend this place 100%!"

"We had an amazing stay at Casa Rural Kaxharre. The setting is breathtaking.The owners family is super nice and all were very helpful. Very easy to get to, as GPS was bang on."

"Really attractive and nicely furnished converted old building. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was just about perfect. Garai is a lovely village and has two magnificent restaurants within a 10 minute walk, ideal for the tasting menu with accompanying wines. A little fitness is needed as the walk up to the hotel from the car park is quite strenuous and there are a few flights of stairs if you are in one of the upper rooms. "Hemos estado de lujo, las camas comodísimas, el personal excelente, las unstalaciones, muy cerca de Donosti, Hondarribia, Getaria, Zarautz, Zumaia, desde Orio puedes ir en tren que es muy cómodo. Lo único es que se oye todo entre las habitaciones. Luego el trato con otros huéspedes ha sido genial y mis hijos han hecho nuevos amigos. "

"This property is UNSUITABLE for pilgrims, despite its close proximity to the Camino del Norte. There were no washing or drying facilities for clothes beyond ones ability to improvise in the bathroom. The owner was uncontactable and did not respond to my WhatsApp message written in Spanish. They did not have a stamp for my Credencial del Peregrino to record my stay, a necessity to prove having walked the route. There were no cooking facilities beyond a microwave and the restaurant at the hotel...

"Lovely casa rural, sympathetically restored to provide comfortable accommodation. Especially enjoyed the view of the goats from our room. Lots of information about what to see and do locally. We caught the train from Bermeo up the estuary to Gernika, a lovely trip."
