"The close proximity to three train stations, a shopping mall, several restaurants, and the military bases make Mercure Yokosuka the ideal place to stay.
I booked 7 nights there and put in a request for an upgrade to a bay view, and it was well worth it! Not only did I get an excellent view of everything, on my last night I was able to watch a fireworks show taking place at Yokohama Port (approximately 25 kilometers away) from the comfort of my room.
The rooms were clean. The staff were very helpful, especially when I sent my suitcase to the hotel and they kept it safe until I checked in. The laundry room was readily available, though I think it would help if it had a change machine. I never did take advantage of the restaurants within the hotel, but then again I was constantly on the move and there were several other restaurants available.
If I do come back next year, not only will I stay there again, I hope to get the same room."
