"The Evening buffet didn’t meet our expectations. It had overdone meat in several different options. The food wasn’t hot and the salads were almost gone. We both didn’t think it was worth the money. The breakfast buffet was much higher standard. Couldn’t fault anything else. Design, staff, cleanliness and facilities were exceptional"
Calheta Beach - All Inclusive

"Lovely hotel, with great sea view rooms. We had premium All inclusive which was well worth it for the al carte breakfast and additional nights at the restaurants. Swimming pools are great, mostly couples there, a few young children as not a child friendly hotel really. It's 4 euros to play pool for an hour, which is fair. One critisim is the number of flies and bugs. At the buffet/drink stations there are a lot of flies, with cakes/lemons/honey left out. It was a bit off putting, however it was always cleaned if something left out / causing the issue. We did get a lot of bites at night as well, including inside and mostly around ankles and feet - take bug spray. The shuffle service to Funchal isn't worth it, better to get an uber if a couple, can come and go as you please and the same money, choose CR7 as the drop off point. Lots of vegetarian options in the buffet also and proper drinks brands served. Entertainment was okay, mostly live music."

"beautiful property on top of the hillhad a little scare before arriving cause I had no news from property manager before the morning of, I usually get communications a couple days prior on the whole check in process etc. in the end everything was fine!Pool was beautiful, water was warm. The owner’s dad lives next door and welcomed us with a bunch of bananas from his own trees! on the flip side always surprising when you wake up and your neighbor is watering the plants at 6:30am! I jumped 2 feet high the first morning! At this price I would highly recommend that villa in the sky"

"Les : Tout d'abord, la maison dispose d'un magnifique terrain, très bien entretenu avec une piscine (rare à Madère) très propre et une annexe très jolie. Très belle vue sur la mer (5/5 pour le terrain). La maison est spacieuse, avec des grandes chambres et de grandes salles de bain. Elle est propre (4/5 pour la maison). Le quartier est très calme, vous n'aurez pas le moindre bruit la nuit.Les - : pas grand chose en fait. La vaisselle à disposition est minimaliste (4 verres, 4 couteaux, 4 fourchettes...), obligeant à laver au fur et à mesure. La maison est assez humide. A noter également les points suivants.Important à savoir : la maison est équipée de climatisation, mais ce n'est pas compris dans le prix. La température étant autour de 23C en juillet, ça ne nous a pas manqué. La maison est dans le haut d'Arco de Calheta, il y a souvent un nuage persistant l'après-midi. Il n'y fait donc jamais chaud, mais la piscine ne l'est donc pas non plus. Elle monte à 23.5C les jours sans nuages. Vous pouvez demander à la chauffer, le propriétaire nous a pris tout de même 25/jour pour 2C de plus !"

"Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, die Wohnung mit der großen Terrasse und dem Ausblick hat uns gut gefallen. Ein Mietwagen ist aufgrund der Abgelegenheit erforderlich, dafür war es aber sehr ruhig gelegen."
