"The apartment was great, conveniently located for Newcastle City Center (within a short walk, or short hop on the Metro), Jesmond Metro station and restaurants and cafes in the local area. Check in via the adjacent Holiday Inn was quick and efficient and access to parking (free with the apartment!) was easy. "I arrived at The Grainger hotel with apprehensive feelings,after reading the reviews.I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw when I walked into the property.My room wasn't ready when i arrived,but to be fair i was quite a bit early.I only had to wait half an hour.The room was quite small but was very adequate for my accommodation needs.The room was clean and tidy and the staff were really helpful too.I will definitely be back "

"This is above a pub 2 minutes from the station. Eaglescliffe is a nice place to stay though there isn't much around the station to look at. The hotel is a bit basic but clean and good value for money."

"On entering the property we was greeted by the reception staff they were very friendly and helpful, they made our short stay feel at ease, had everything we needed and the owner was so polite even carried my bag upstairs and said anything we need just ask. Really can’t fault our room was lovely felt homely & cosy, the area was nice & quiet. Highly recommend this place. "There was a problem with a first room during first night in block 90. All night people were walking, yelling,floors were squicking, then at 3 am someone began dropping dumbbells on the floor ... But fortunately the hotel reception person switched us over to block 94 to the top floor and it was quiet and nice ,better shower room .
