Also called Horton's Mill Pond (or Horton hears a who 😉) considered a mid Willamette valley hidden secret is a beautiful location with several different species of fish, salamanders, turtles (we didn't see any) and birds. Right next to horse trails with a boat launch and a railed dock. Several campsites and picnic benches all around the lake. A little tricky to find, only 28 miles northwest of Eugene via hwy 36, turn north on lane county rd #3640. Located 5 miles north of Horton, follow paved #3640 for about 1 mile where it connects to road #15-35. "Great place in the country!!! Beautiful surroundings, lovely tiny home with a king-sized bed, well-appointed kitchen, and the ability to shower or soak under the stars or under clear blue skies. Minimal road noise, and fun to stay in lodging that’s off the electrical grid (which was no problem at all!) Tables and chairs and awning outside for picnicking, and the hosts were lovely. Would definitely stay here again!"
