I was impressed by the quality of the hotel/room considering how affordable it was. Located in a great area, walking distance to lots of great restaurants/bars/shopping etc The staff were all extremely hospitable and the room was decently maintained. I was lucky enough to get a room with a balcony facing the plaza which was an added bonus.

Located in a largely ethnically Turkish neighborhood of Brussels, the Hotel Meribél is located not far from the Brussels Nord station (one stop to the airport), the Botanical Gardens, and the Botanique metro stop. It is about a 20-minute walk to the Grand Place down the Rue Royale.
The property itself looks to be renovated in a building constructed for another purpose, and my room was on the small side (though fairly typical for this kind of family-owned property). There was plentiful hot water...

Hotel was cute, quaint, quite and cozy. Comfortably slept 3. However, the matress on the couch was really gross so we did not unfold the couch. I could stay here again.
