"Was lucky to have assistance from Yan Ning who was at the hotel reception when we had problems communicating with a taxi driver. Yan Ning was very helpful and had good initiative. She even stayed with us while we call for another taxi to ensure we had a pleasant journey. Throughout our 8 days stay, the rest of the counter staff were not very helpful when we needed assistance or had queries, even though we could speak reasonable mandarin: thank you Yan Ning !"

Holiday Inn Express Hangzhou Gongshu by IHG

8/10 Good

Good news: Danny, the manager really believes in customer service. We could not find the hotel; its new. Taxi didn't know where it was. We were a little upset when we finally arrived in the lobby. Enter Danny. He was understanding and took care of us. Upgraded us, Welcome drink tickets and just a "do what it takes" attitude. The view? I am sure its a great view on a sunny day. Weather was cold and rainy. It is February after all. The room? a mini suite and very comfortable. Big bed, great...
