"Was a great stay at this great little inn. It may be a bit different than what most western guest expect to find, but I went for the Ryokan experience and was not disappointed. "Upon arriving during the two-hour check-in window, I was puzzled as to if anyone worked here. I walked in the front, no one. Went around back, just a couple ski resort patrons. I was sure I was in the right building from the photos, but it looked more like an abandoned building with some squatters in the form of skiers. "

"Room is spacious for 2 persons. Historical Japanese architectureal building. I don't believe there is any room with its own bathroom and toilet. Public hot spring bath room is small and the pool can only house 3 or max 4 persons. The old couple owners are very nice but cannot communicate in English. Usually local customers.Location is very central so close to amrnities and eateries and the famous Zenkoji temple."

"Second time using Nozawa Dream central. Location is excellent. Staff ALWAYS go above and beyond to help. Special shout out to Cora! Extremely helpful! Staff also understand the nuances to blending the Japanese +/- western resort experience. Rooms are traditional tatami style, so just be aware after a few days of sending it, our lumbered western bodies may take a hit getting up and down from the mats. Bathrooms/showers are shared - gets very cold down there. Coffee and tea station all...

"Staff nice , hotel showing its age but I think that’s everywhere in Japan . Boot room was in the basement which was a bit of a pain . The room we had do have a nice view to the mountains . The restaurant was actually nice even if it looked like a brightly lit sports bar "
