Our trip was last minute. We arrived and got a very welcoming greeting. We were able to get a room upgrade and that made our R&R all that much better. We rarely get away, so that was a real treat. Very clean and quiet. Anything we needed was attended to. We decided to extend our stay an extra night and received the same courtesy and smiles from all staff for our whole stay. It was well worth it.

Great place to run away for an overnight or more. Beautiful view, lovely room, friendly staff, awesome pool and spa, frig and coffee/tea in room...actually tea was initially missing in room, but they brought me tea bags-2 regular and 2 peppermint. Fire in great room with magnificent view. Bar was closed, but we brought our own bottle and played scrabble by the fire.

Our stay at the Interlaken Inn was wonderful! Owner Casey and staff member Heather could not have been friendlier or more responsive to our requests and comfort. Was a great place to stay. They had awesome food at their restaurant. Nice friendly managers of the property. Remembered names of people in my party. Had two fire pits which we enjoyed. Within 30 minutes of lots of stuff to do. We would stay there again. They made us feel like family.

Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!

The house is a good place to stay if you need ample room and want a quiet retreat in Saranac Lake. Its not on the water but within a short drive of downtown and the lakes. If you have mobility issues this isn’t the place for you as the stairs to the second floor are very steep and there are floor level changes. The house manager should, I think, mark the floor level changes with bright tape because it takes a while to remember where they are. The house is pleasant and cosy and we enjoyed staying...
